ARTICLE 332.   Term of labor contracts with employees of higher education institutions

All scientific and educational positions in institutes, universities, [one] etc. are filled under a labor contract [two] concluded for five years.

Competitive selection precedes conclusion [three] of the labor contract at filling scientific and educational positions [four] excluding a faculty dean and a sub-faculty head. An instruction [five] on the abovementioned position filling is approved in the procedure [six] fixed by the Government of Russian Federation.

The positions of faculty [seven] dean and sub-faculty head of an institute, a university, etc. [eight] are elected ones. The election procedure is [nine] determined by the by-laws of educational institutions.

In state [ten] and municipal institutes, universities, etc. the chancellor, pro-rector, [one] faculty dean, filial (institute) heads are [two] filled by the persons not older than 65 [three] years notwithstanding the labor contract conclusion time. [four] The persons filling the abovementioned positions who reached [five] this age are moved to other jobs [six] correspondent to their qualifications upon their agreement.

A [seven] founder (founders) of higher education institutions has [eight] the right to increase age of a chancellor up to 70 [nine] years upon proposal of an academic council of this [ten] institution.
